Though similar in name to the mango, the Mangosteen is much less readily available.  It is rare to be sold in North America and Europe due to the locations of its natural growing areas in Southeast Asia.  So prized is this fruit that legend claims that Queen Victoria once offered a reward to anyone who could bring her the fruit.
