Most often attributed to Hawaii, the Pineapple is actually native to Brazil and Paraguay. The pineapple develops without pollination and is therefore a false fruit. The pineapple's scales tell us about its characteristics: the more marked the relief, the stronger the taste; the less marked the relief, the weaker the characteristic taste but the sweeter and juicier the flesh.
